About
Hey, I’m Jye. I write code and occasionally words.
I got to ride the fintech rocket at Avoka until the acquisition, now building Nitric because I got tired of writing the same cloud boilerplate over and over.
What ends up here
This blog is just me working through whatever’s in my head. Usually that means:
- Distributed systems that actually work in production
- Developer tools that don’t make me want to quit programming
- Local-first architecture because waiting for servers is so 2010
- Programming paradigms that make me unreasonably happy
- Random observations from building software for 15+ years
Currently obsessed with
Local-first development patterns (blame Linear for setting the bar impossibly high), and why most “best practices” are just expensive ways to procrastinate.
Fair warning: I get unreasonably excited about boring infrastructure problems.
